Ruth Polk Patterson (August 10, 1930-July, 1988), with fellow supporters Myrtle Jackson, Jennifer Mays at unsuccessful campaign of Ruth's husband, Thomas Edward Patterson. After marrying Thomas Edward Patterson in 1949, Ruth Polk Patterson became a teacher for the Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas school system and wrote a book about her family called "The Seed of Sally Goon'n, a black family of Arkansas, 1833-1953" in 1985.
